Dave has been around the bicycle industry for over 30 years with over 20 years at Wheel & Sprocket. Before his time at Wheel & Sprocket, he was a master frame builder at the Schwinn/Paramount factory. He has a high level of expertise in coaching novice riders to professional veterans. Through the years, the riders Dave has worked with have won over 65 National Championship titles; most riders came to Dave with little to no competitive experience. He works with riders in a wide range of cycling disciplines such as road racing, criteriums, BMX, cyclocross, mountain bike, track and triathlons. Dave has played an integral part in getting hundreds of people started in the sport of cycling including his brothers, wife and three kids. All three kids are national champions and his oldest daughter is currently racing on a UCI women's professional team, Team TIBCO/To the Top. Dave has had such phenomenal success in the cycling industry because he understands how crucial it is to use the proper body mechanics on the bike. Teaching bike enthusiasts how to be more comfortable on the bike while increasing a riders potential as a cyclist is something Dave takes pride in doing. Learning how to be efficient and utilizing proper body mechanics greatly affects a riders experience on the bike. Dave understands that not everyone is a bike racer, but learning to optimize someone's riding ability is a challenge he loves to take on.
